Frank Zappa frame

I built this custom frame for artist, David Bollt. The drawing / air-brush was done by a colleague of his. I think Frank Zappa would be proud of the tribute. Frame something cool.

An evening with Martin Pate

Big thanks to my friend, Martin Pate for his demonstration here @ Dogwood Gallery.
He is truly one of the area's finest painters. Also, we appreciate the excellent crowd that
attended last Thursday. I hope to do more exhibitions like this in the near future, as it
gives the viewers a glimpse into the techniques used to create fine artwork.

Olga Mosina

Greek Vase
oil on canvas

Lilies
oil on canvas

Russian-born local artist, Olga Mosina, has been involved in various interior design projects in both Moscow and the Southeastern U.S. She brings years of classical training and a multi-cultural viewpoint into her work. She paints with confidence. These two pieces display her unique color palette and cubist like style that sets Olga apart from other artists.

Susan Gibbs

Untitled
sculpted clay
20" tall

Local artist Susan Gibbs creates an interesting body with glaze dripped over the shoulders and torso of this figurative work. But what really brings this piece up to another level is the copper wire sprouting in curls from the head. What would you call this untitled piece??

Charles Nivens

Little Spot in Oregon
acrylic on canvas
24"x36"

Charles Nivens uses the palette knife as his tool of choice so he can sculpt the paint into his vision of an urban scene or landscape. What strikes me in his fine works are not only the brush and knife strokes but the use of vibrant color. In his own words, Chalres Nivens is a "creator and in interpreter of light, form, movement, and lots of color."
