above are 4 paintings by georgette liberatore. all works are oil on canvas. observe the classic painting technique used to depict the 2 still life works. for the landscapes, georgette has incorporated bright colors & impressionistic style to present a dreamlike quality to the viewer. each of these works are larger than the canvases they are painted on. i get a sense of what is not there, the surroundings.

as a framer, i have found that whatever a client brings in, is absolutely dear to them. i try to treat these items accordingly. above is a frame i built for a man whose brother died in vietnam, after 6
tours of duty. his medal of honor was presented to my client posthumously. the certificate bears richard nixon's signature. i still feel an immense amount of respect for this man & i wonder about the triumphs & horrors this soldier witnessed to have earned so many medals @ such a young age.

it is important for painters to create & maintain their own style. often, artists do not know what their style is, until they have created a body of work to review. in art, style is subconscious. to me, style is depicted in the manner of brushstroke not subject matter. above are details of paintings by 3 artist. notice the distinct differences in appearance. 1st by david boyd, jr. 2nd two by jane whitehurst & final two by martin pate.
