Susan Gibbs

Untitled
sculpted clay
20" tall

Local artist Susan Gibbs creates an interesting body with glaze dripped over the shoulders and torso of this figurative work. But what really brings this piece up to another level is the copper wire sprouting in curls from the head. What would you call this untitled piece??

Paige Lackey Martin

Fine Art Dolls
Clay and Fabric

Paige Martin loves to create things by hand, mostly with clay and wood. When making her dolls, she thinks about how best to make a unique figure. She multicolors the faces, hands, and feet, then creates clothing to fit the form, and handmade jewelry to fit the doll's personality. I think it is each doll's distinct personality that draws me in. Is it the green hair I like best? Or the faces with split color? Or the uniquely styled outfits? Whatever it is, these dolls are all around intriguing.

A Change of Heart
20"x20"

City Lights
24"x24"

Sunburst

Matty Porter, avid quilter, found her passion in working with textiles. Particularly, she likes the use of batiks - fabrics dyed through the use of wax. This technique results in fabric printed in bright shades of many colors. Matty's skill for her craft and eye for design are evident in these three wonderful pieces. Don't forget to click on the image for a closer look!
