I built this custom frame for artist, David Bollt. The drawing / air-brush was done by a colleague of his. I think Frank Zappa would be proud of the tribute. Frame something cool.

Man In A Box

Donald Hillyer has been helping me here @ Dogwood Gallery. He is meticulous when framing & congenial with our customers. ( just the way I like it ) He spent many years designing ads in Chicago. Before that, he served as a medic in the army. He has proved to be good company. Oh, Don is also an artist. The images below are 2 drawings ( of many ) in the series "Man In A Box". An evening with Martin Pate

Big thanks to my friend, Martin Pate for his demonstration here @ Dogwood Gallery.

He is truly one of the area's finest painters. Also, we appreciate the excellent crowd that

attended last Thursday. I hope to do more exhibitions like this in the near future, as it

gives the viewers a glimpse into the techniques used to create fine artwork.
