Donald Hillyer has been helping me here @ Dogwood Gallery. He is meticulous when framing & congenial with our customers. ( just the way I like it ) He spent many years designing ads in Chicago. Before that, he served as a medic in the army. He has proved to be good company. Oh, Don is also an artist. The images below are 2 drawings ( of many ) in the series "Man In A Box". Right now, you can see the full collection @ the Peachtree City Library. Click the images for a closer look & enjoy!

The Man Behind the Wheel

Billy Lee, a Folk Potter in the truest sense, is self taught. He is a Naturalist taking his ideas from the world around him. Billy creates original works that have a spiritual feel. He primarily uses Georgia clay and a little Tennessee ball clay. Most of the glazes used are made from wood ash and local clays.
