out with the old, in with the new

black rain by jane whitehurst, oil on canvas

theme of destruction & renewal by scott silcox, oil on canvas

deception by allison j. smith, oil on canvas

as it is my last day as dogwood gallery's summer intern i thought i would show some of my personal favorites from the gallery. I'm intrigued by the mysterious and abstract compositions of jane whitehurst, scott silcox, and allison j. smith, and admire their ability to be so loose with their application of paint.

alas, i digress, and pass the torch on to the new intern who will be filling my postion as i return for one more year of college.

farewell!

all of us here at dogwood gallery were deeply saddened to learn of the passing of a dear friend and talented artist, Scott Silcox. His legacy will live on not only in his paintings but also in our hearts.
