young crow by martin pate

for me, it does not get much better than this. a small oil on canvas featuring a native american subject. this piece was expertly painted by a nationally known, yet local artist. the unpainted space around the boy adds drama & speaks volumes about martin's confidence as a painter. surrounded by a 3 1/4" la rochelle profile by roma moulding ( autumn trail ) this piece sold last weekend & i framed it yesterday. young crow was picked up this morning & is currently being driven west across the country. click on the pictures.
